This has an Elkhart Indiana vibe to it. (the cabinet guy)

Seriously. When people mention Elkhart, I think of three generations of factory workers put out of work in a single stroke during the big economic downturn.

It took me 2.5 hrs to mount the runners, build the drawer and mount the drawer to the runners. That was with a ll the pieces pre cut. I'm ashamed of my slowness

Suggestion: put some vertical dowels and a divider on the right side of that trash cabinet, making that side space useful for storing cookie sheets, cutting boards, etc. Then wall of the space in front of the trash and put in a little shelf space (maybe a spice rack or something?)

Dude: that’s ridiculous. Enjoy the drawer each time you open it and take the satisfaction you earned for yourself.

I’m going to do something there. I want to box in the trash to completely separate it from the rest. Then shelves it something. Cutting board storage is a good idea.

Thats piece work for you. Makes you feel a lot better about the cabinets we have in our kitchens, doesn't it?

I'll say. That's why I kept the old ones. They're nothing fancy, but someone built them in place. I aim to get a few more doors done this summer, but also to get Rusty on the road.

Those are good goals.
